Well we had rain again so pictures are not too good. The formations here are spectular. The third picture is called Mexican Hat. There is also a town called Mexican Hat, population 88. I don't know what they are going to call it when the top rock falls off. From here we went to Four Corners. Then on to Mesa Verde. We did lots of hikes and Ranger tours to the different sites. I signed up for the Cliffs Palace but when I saw the ladder you had to climb I backed out. Luckily I did because there was a downpour. Mesa Verde is 7 0r 8,000 feet high and we were a little out of breath sometimes. We saw mule deer today before we left. We went to Durango, Silverton, Ouray and ended up in Montrose tonight. We had wanted to stay in Ouray, a very picturesque town, but the motels, hotels and lodges were full. They were having some big dirt bike thing. We stopped in a little town on the way and a lady pointed out that they had snow up on the peaks. We did see two snow plows on the road. It was only 50 degrees and we were walking around in shorts. Brrrr
