Here we are in Cerrillos, NM on the Turquoise Trail. This is the What Not Shop. Years ago I bought some jewelry from the niece of the owner of this shop. She was selling it in the DC area. He had died and his daughter now runs it. John says it is a mining town out of the 1800's or a junky shop that had not been dusted in years. I think the shop looked like someone had just walked away from it years ago. Was I ever disappointed. The owner said she had been taking care of her mother for the past few years and had not been on any buying trips. When we drove up she was sitting out front at the place next door talking to several men. While we were in the shop she sat playing a computer game.
This is looking down Main Street. The next town down the trail is Madrid and it was busy with many shops.
