San Antonio to Santa Fe

We left San Antonio and proceeded to Fredericksburg which had been recommended as a nice little town to visit. On the way a big chunk of one of my teeth fell out. We stopped in a little town and I called a dentist. She was busy but did recommend that I try this dental fix. Fredericksburg was a town founded by Germans. There are many other towns nearby first settled by Germans. We had a wonderful dinner in one of the German restaurants. Yesterday we drove from Fredericksburg to Santa Fe about 650 miles. Not too bad when you are driving 85 or 90 most of the time. We stopped in Roswell, NM (no not to see UFOs) to see their museum. They had a very interesting museum, a large pottery display, a section dedicated to Goddard including his workshop, a display of indian and old west memorabilia and then paintings. They had one Georgia O'Keefe, rams head and brown leaves. The painting looked three dimensional. It was quite beautiful. I only took one picture on this day and I will post it later. Today we are going to do some of the museums here in Santa Fe. Tomorrow is Labor Day so I don't know how much will be open. We will probably do Bandalier which is about 50 miles from Santa Fe and an Arts and Crafts festival on the plaza.
